Classy restaurant hidden in a small intersection in Gatineau. Atmosphere is warm, cozy and upscale. Not a lot of seats, so recommended to call in advance.
Wednesday is buck a shuck oysters night. Quality is good and comes with 4 different topping sauces. The tartare trio platter comes with 3 tartares - beef, salmon and tuna. Can ask for more croutons to go with the tartare. Salmon tartare is a bit underseasoned compared to the other two, but each tartare has unique flavourings and topping.
Shared the pork belly appetizer and the bison shank wifh a group of 3. The dishes were not big, but made with care ans tastes great. Pork belly is charred, hot and not greasy. It was served on a bed of butternut squash puree. that was airy and soft. The bison flank was tender, flavourful and juicy. It was not gamey at all and goes nicely with the mashed potatoes and veggies on the side.
Great recommendation from a friend of mine. Drop by if you feel like a fancy meal near Ottawa! -

I came again for oysters on a Wednesday evening; it's from 5-8pm when it's $1/each! Today they were Beausoleil's. If you want your main to come at the same time, you have to mention it, otherwise they'll wait until you're done the oysters to start cooking the main.
Since it's February, the oysters were mostly fresh, but there were a few that were not so good. However, still a good deal!
The atmosphere is always really comfortable and classy without being stuffy. I came at about 5:30PM, and by about 6:30PM, the whole room was filled.
I also tried some of the filet mignon; it was really tender, the sauce that came with it was flavorful, beefy, and hearty, and the foie gras torchon was delicious (however, there wasn't too much of it). I'd definitely be back again, as their quality is always consistent! -

The first time came to Canada. When I was searching restaurant on google, le cellist was the first option on the list so I came there. Each plate was tasty and beautiful. They also have English menu they'll give you if you ask for it. The tuna tartare with sauce is sooo good and the beef rib is incredibly soft and delicacy. Oyster with four kinds of sauce is fresh. I choose the first dessert on the dessert menu. It's a cup of chocolate mousse and caramel cream with a little bit salt in several layers. It's a wonderful experience.
